Storing Wine at Home

Store it at the right temperature

The best temperature to store wine is between 45°F (+7ºC) and 65°F (+18ºC) degrees.

Regardless of the type or label, wine should never be kept below 25 °F (-4ºC).

Keep bottles on their sides

Keeping wine on its side helps keep the cork moist, this is key for long-term storage.

Don't obsess about humidity

Try to avoid fluctuating temperatures caused by external weather or heating and cooling systems. The more constant the environment, the longer the wine will last.

Keep it in the dark

Store your wine in a dark and dry place to preserve its great taste. If you can’t keep a bottle entirely out of light, keep it inside of a box or wrapped lightly in cloth.

 Pouring wine

After the wine has been opened ....

Don't keep your wine in the fridge long term

Storing wine in the fridge is okay for the short term, but the vibrations and odours can damage wine over time.

White Wine should last in the fridge for up to three days.

Red Wine should last at room temperature outside the fridge for a few days.
